Chinese New Year-Spring Festival
New Year's Origin
The first day of the first month of the lunar calendar, also known as the lunar year, is commonly known as "Chinese New Year" and "New Year". This is the most solemn and lively traditional festival in our country. The Spring Festival has a long history. It originated from the activities of worshiping gods and ancestors at the beginning and end of the year during the Yin and Shang Dynasties.
The Spring Festival is here, which means that spring will come, Vientiane will recover and the vegetation will be renewed, and a new round of sowing and harvesting seasons will begin again. People have just passed the long and cold winter when the icy and snowy vegetation has withered away, and they have long been looking forward to the day when the spring flowers bloom.
For thousands of years, people have made New Year celebrations very colorful. Every year from the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month to the 30th day of the new year, the folks call this period "Spring Day", also called "Dust Sweeping Day". It is a traditional habit of the Chinese people to clean up before the Spring Festival.
In order to celebrate the Spring Festival this year, Feepop specially designed a soft diatomite bath mat with the theme of the New Year.
